This is my review for the Quad Driver In-Ear Headphones (Earphones/Earbuds) with Apple iOS and Android Compatible Microphone and Remote (Titanium). By 1MORE.
The item arrived in a cardboard book-wrap, within was the beautiful retail packaging. All of which was recyclable.
Here’s our experience
My wife ordered these for me for Christmas and to be sure they were ok, tried then out to check. Once she did, she then mentioned them to me (I had been lusting after them for a while and was delighted she had bought them for me). However, what she was concerned about was the overall sound quality.
I had been expecting great things from these, so my hopes had been really expectant. But what i heard when i tried them really deflated me. I just couldn’t believe that headphones costing around £200 could sound so inferior. Yes the presentation was beautiful and the build quality was exquisite, but what happened to the inner components?
Well i’ve read up on these Balanced Armatures and they are supposed to be fantastic, i can’t understand it. Maybe i got a faulty pair, Maybe my hearing is going (but my wife wasn’t impressed either) or maybe i don’t appreciate the finer things in life. I’m not sure, but one thing i do know is that these earphones were not floating my boat.
We have various headphones between us, for example the V-MODA Crossfade 2, AKG K712PRO Reference, AUDBOS Dual Driver In-ear Earphones and the Bowers & Wilkins P5 On-Ear Headphones. But unfortunately these didn’t come close in comparison.
The Bass was lacking, the mid-tones were warm and colourful, but the treble was very bright too. I thought the soundstage was quite well defined though, instruments seemed to be placed and not muddled. I may give them another try in the future and my opinion may change, but for now this is how they left me feeling, rather deflated.
Sorry 1More, i had such great hopes. They will be returned tomorrow. I give them 3 out of 5
