What do i think of it?
Modeled on the Original ABOX from the company of the same name, this is a NEW 2017 model, with upgraded specs. Including a New Amlogic S905X chipset, HDMI 2.0 and the latest Android operating system Marshmallow 6.0. It feels quite smooth most of the time but can struggle with games. Remote control button presses are responded to immediately, with very little lag time. The main Menu screen is organised and well presented with lots of handy features easily accessible. Plus at the bottom there is the option of adding quick links to your favourite apps, so you don’t have to go searching around.
The connectivity is adequate for a box of it’s capabilities. Having 8 GB of EMMC Flash and the 1GB DDR SDRAM Memory, you get a relatively smooth gameplay, but a seamlessly smooth 4K picture quality. The sound output is faultless and from what i can tell, it works well with other peripherals. Using Wi-Fi was fine for me, but i have a 200Gb stable connection, those not so fortunate may want to consider a LAN connection, especially with higher rate video transfer.
This is a great TV Box. Quite sooth in operation, but works more smoothly with the LAN connection. 1GB of DDR SDRAM is ok, but i would have preferred 2. That said for the price your getting a great quality item, with good connectivity, that works reasonably well. I give it 4*’s
